Situated in the beautiful Wear Valley in the quaint village of Rookhope, the Rookhope Inn is surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Rookhope Inn sits on the Coast to Coast cycle route and offers weary cyclists a traditional country inn with accommodation to retreat to after a hard day in the saddle.
You will receive a warm welcome and find our relaxed lounge area and bar offering traditional pub grub and a selection of fine Real Ales.

Guests can rest weary heads in one of our five twin rooms. All our rooms come complete with ensuite bathrooms, comfortable beds and facilities to make a nice hot cuppa.
Our chefs serve meals every day, lunchtime and evenings with a traditional roast served on a Sunday.
We have a varied menu and offer traditional, hearty pub grub that is reasonably priced and, most importantly, home cooked using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
All main courses are served with a choice of chips or creamy mash potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables.

Day three then starts with the last climb of the trip, followed by about 40 miles downhill to Tynemouth or Sunderland.
For your peace of mind The Rookhope Inn has an on site secure facility to store bikes overnight.
There is a lot more accommodation available in the Lakes than there is in the North Pennines. It may be wise to book your accommodation with us in advance before looking for your Lake District accommodation.
