Coast to Coast Information
Rookhope is a popular second night stop for those taking three days to complete the Coast To Coast. After a steep climb out of Allenheads, a 5 mile downhill run deposits the cyclist at the door of the Rookhope Inn.

Day three then starts with the last climb of the trip, followed by about 40 miles downhill to Tynemouth or Sunderland.

For your peace of mind The Rookhope Inn has an on site secure facility to store bikes overnight.

There is a lot more accommodation available in the Lakes than there is in the North Pennines. It may be wise to book your accommodation with us in advance before looking for your Lake District accommodation.
